New Jobs, New Germs and New Outlook

Isn’t it funny how sometimes, all it takes is a new environment, office, or workspace to totally change your perspective. I accepted a new job almost two weeks ago, and it has not only completely relaxed me, it has allowed me to feel such a sense of relief. I am not only getting to do what I love, but I get to do it for a company that pays me what I’m worth, and is as excited about me as I am about them.

Its funny, I heard just today that the people who say they never got a chance often didn’t ever take a chance. It feels good to have taken a chance and had it pay off.

Unfortunately, I also think the new office has come with new germs that were apparently not introduced to me previously and I have come down with a fever. And to think I made it through the ENTIRE pandemic without getting sick. Well. I guess the joke is on me.

Fortunately it’s not too harsh yet, and I was able to get a blessing at church that has me feeling a little better already.

Anyway… its neither here nor there I guess, but as a person that probably is a lot less of a germaphobe than she should be, my advice would be most the same as everyone else’s. Wash your hands, sanitize, and keep your mask handy.

Living with Lupus has not always been easy, especially during the pandemic when everyone was getting sick and illness was spreading like wildfire. I was fortunately on a medication, and had been on it for nearly 15 years, that they gave to doctors when the pandemic was first starting to help them avoid getting sick. I like to think that’s part of the reason COVID never found me, but I can’t say for sure. I guess it doesn’t matter too much the reason I was spared. I am grateful for it and I’m hoping whatever this is, I will be over it soon and up and running again without too much of a hiccough.
