Okay, I’m trying really hard to keep my perspective. I have talked to a few wonderful friends this week who are helping me do just that. It’s fascinating when you think about it. What conditions must exist for rainbows 🌈 to show off?
It must be raining…. that’s right, the rainbow doesn’t appear after the rain, it is, in fact, light refracting off of the water during the storm. Why then are we so sure that the beauty or relief will come when the hardships end? Isn’t it in the midst of our hardest struggles that we find our light refracted? Our strength shown? The might of one who understands all displayed?
Interestingly enough, this week, I also had the chance to stand in a room that is much like heaven and watch as many of my friends and acquaintances came and joined our little group and it continued to expand until it felt a little like what It heaven could be. A large group of friends laughing, sharing and enjoying being together. It started as a somber yet sweet experience that turned joyous and beautiful as more and more people came and were encircled and embraced by the hearts of those in attendance.
I guess what I’m saying is that the hard things can seem a little less hard when encompassed by “the bright side” or when recognizing that there can be absolute beauty in the midst of your hardest moments.

Speaking of 🌈 in the midst of the storms… I received a kidney update this week…they have improved another 2 points! Thanks to the vegetarian eating!
