Tools to A Healthier Life

I have talked a bit about things you can do to create an easier life with chronic conditions, but I haven’t really given you the tools I have used to do it. Here is a list of some of the tools that I not only love, but have given me the freedom to do things with less pain and discomfort.

Vibrelli Hydration Pack – This pack is super lightweight and has an easily removeable and cleanable re-fillable water pouch to ensure you can get your hydration needs met while hiking. There is a zipper pouch for keys, ID, sunscreen treats or bug spray or you can carry them in the visible pouch for easier access.

Merrell Women’s Trail Hiking Shoe – These hiking shoes have fantastic grip and while they don’t necessarily have ankle support, they are great for most trails and offer great downhill support.

Metatarsal Food Pads – After hiking around New York City for a day with severe neuropathy, I put a set of these in for day two of walking and was able to walk a second day with reduced pain. Remembering them on the first day would have probably saved my feet to begin with, but fortunately after an entire day on my feet and with more than 30,000 steps I remembered I had these in my bag and was able to get some extra relief.

Sketchers Sports Sandals – These Sandals are great for hiking through creeks, waterfalls or through wet trails. I use them a lot when walking dogs in the summer (I hate socks)The soles are comfortable and these are sturdy shoes that lasted me two solid years with no issues or rubbing.

Goli Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies – These gummies are great to help curb appetite and keep my digestion regular and provide antioxidants.

Orgain Organic Vegan Protein Powder – For the first few months of my Vegan/Vegetarian lifestyle swap I really struggled with feeling full. However, this protein powder has really helped with that struggle. I use it in smoothies, protein balls (bites), in baked goods and even in overnight oats to get more protein in my day.

Trail Buddy Hiking Poles – If hiking shoes aren’t enough these hiking poles should help you keep your balance and are good for walks on stable ground as well.

Motivational Water Bottle with Time Marker  – These water bottles are a great way to ensure you are getting enough water throughout the day. These water bottles were a lifesaver at work when we had water challenges or I was simply trying to get enough water to keep a clear mind or reduce headaches.
