Bounties of the Unexpected

Well, I won’t bore you with the same sob story I’ve been telling for months.

Yes, I’m home, and yes, I’m struggling with the transition( get your mind out of the gutter)and the humidity and the temperature that my parents keep the house at- its 78…

However, despite the struggles, it turns out I may be the only pet sitter in the area with any experience and reviews, and requests are more than expected. Also, since arriving on Wednesday, we have harvested and canned 26 cans of pre-salsa (tomatoes), 11 cans of fresh grape juice, 1 large wheelbarrow full of potatoes and a bag of pears. Everything from the garden. We also picked a few ears of corn. I will say, I am still struggling finding work and things in that respect have not seemed to improve much, but I got to go to another ward with my dad today and saw some friends I haven’t seen for years.

While I am still waiting on my miracle, small and simple things are happening all around me that allow me to see the hand of God.

Working in a garden and receiving a harvest, no matter the size, is quite rewarding.
