James 5:7-9 This struck a cord with me. In today’s world, I find myself having a hard time waiting. For answers, finances… a partner, even to feel the effect of weight loss and exercise. However, I feel like patience teaches us about love. As we wait on a job that can meet our needs, or on our bodies to show our hard work, or a life partner, I feel we are learning about love.
We have to learn to love ourselves as we wait on changes to take shape. We have to love God as we wait for a life partner. We have to be grateful for every penny we can earn and love those who give us opportunities.
We trust He will help us get through and learn of His infinite patience and long-suffering towards us. I don’t think any of us are ever as patient as our God, who is always waiting on us to get it in gear.
I’m still trying to get myself in gear in a number of ways, and one of the things I’m doing to help save money and help with weight loss is to make meals at home. It seems like a pretty duh solution, but when I was constantly on the move living in Utah, I failed to do this as much as I intended.
But I’ve had a specific recipe a number of times, and it makes about 8 servings, so it can be frozen and saved for later. This particular recipe version I found on Tastes Better From Scratch.

It can be altered to be vegetarian or vegan if you so choose, which is something I always find useful.
