With a Corncob pipe and a Button Nose

You may have read my latest update about the nose problems I am now experiencing, if not, its a fun-ish, quick read.

In conjunction with that mess, I will have to have surgery December 4 to have a button put in my nose,. There is hole in my septum that apparently isn’t t supposed to be there. The doctor believes it was a contributing factor to the nose bleeds. Anyway, the surgery is a same day surgery, and essentially what they plan to do is put a button to plug the hole in the septum. So I will have a mechanical heart, a button nose and a screwed on ankle. 🙂

I know other people experience a lot of crazy things in their life and I am very blessed to be in the position I am in. I live in a country where these surgeries are available. I am able to do it without missing significant amounts of work (thanks to an online job)

I have had my life spared countless times, so there must be a reason I am still here. Just recently a window got stuck down in the truck I am driving. My dad took it in to be looked at. While in the shop they discovered a belt in/under the truck was very worn and about to snap. If the window had not been damaged, the belt may have snapped while I was driving to one of my substitute or dog sitting jobs and it may have been catastrophic.

It may seem like a hassle to have to deal with incident after incident. Sometimes I find myself complaining a little when these “events” continue to cause disruptions in my life.

However, when i pull back and look at the bigger picture, it seems I am being protected more than inconvenienced by these things.

So, while I may not be thrilled to have another surgery, and have to deal so many things this year. I am trying to keep my perspective on how I have been protected, rather than how much of an inconvenience this year has been.

So here’s to my upcoming button nose.

You may already know that no human face is symmetrical, in my case my profile from left is different than the right. They’re both OK. But I know it is different. Point is: Do not worry they’ll fix it. Be happy.
