Whether I’m happy or sad, if my emotions are high, lyrics flow. These are some of my creations and a space to show them off.

The first came as a reaction to yet another date where I felt used.

Lord, Why?

You ask me, can I take you out?  I feel so special the rosie glasses come out. I spend my time imagining you and what, you’ll say and think and do.

I get there early, then wait on you, you’re sweet and always have an excuse.  I tell you my dreams and you tell me yours.  We talk for hours and we’re never bored. It seems okay at first, I think, and then the ship begins to sink.

The merry goes around and round. It lets some off, and it lets some on. It’s just too bad they’re all the same.  Please help me, Lord, to understand why some women can’t find a good man?

Date two and three feel new and fresh. We have a kiss and I’m impressed.  You ask me to come home with you and pretend your heart is good and true. I trust too easily and fall too fast, and then it’s like you never asked permission to touch me there or hold my hand, and I feel like you don’t understand.

The merry goes around and round. It lets some off, and it lets some on. It’s just too bad they’re all the same.  Please help me, Lord, to understand why some women can’t find a good man?

So. Hold my hand, and let’s start there…. and don’t go farther because you care.  And then, with time and friendship too we create connections that are pure and true.  It’s not too late to still my heart and make me blush and sigh to start.

The merry goes around and around. It lets some off, and it let’s some on. It’s just too bad they’re all the same.  Please help me, Lord, to understand why some women can’t find a good man?

This one was written after marveling after the night sky in the Utah desert.

Laying on the cold, hard ground, the quiet echoes all around.  January air kissing your skin and its snow flakes frosting your hair. Listen to the stories the dark sky tells you as it shows off its majestic aire.

The whistle of the wind, a long lost lonely friend urging you on to where you belong in the middle of adventure. Make a wish upon a star. The dark sky urges you raise the bar

Project Name

Why weepest thou.

” Why weepest thou? Why weepest thou when he’s just around the corner? Why do you forget his tenderness is common? Why do we grieve when he’s taken our stripes and healed them with his perfect light.

Why weepest thou when we reach out to touch him? Why weepest when thou when he’s the one kneeling in the garden.  Why when he has taken all our pain. When our darkness seems too sudden. Do we allow the light to penetrate and wipe our tears away? Do we continue to behave as though he cannot save.

Why weepest thou when out trials seem too great, when his mercy is only a breath away.”
