First Dates

Alright men…let’s get real.

I hear the biggest reason why the guys don’t ask the ladies out on dates is because of 2 things:

1-They don’t want to ruin the friendship

2-They don’t know if the girl likes them, or would say yes if asked.

Here’s the thing. If we weren’t willing to go on a date with you, we would avoid you. It’s as simple as that.

Even if we are good friends, guess what? Ask us to go on a date. I bet we will have fun. Lots of fun. Why? Because we are friends, and if we can’t have fun even on a date, then maybe we were never that good of friends. After the date, if it’s not going “there” we will let you know. And we’ll be nice about it, because we want to still be your friend. We aren’t going to ruin the friendship.

If she is making eye contact, and choosing to sit next to you, and laughing at your jokes, and touching your arm…she’ll say yes. Even if she is a shy girl. She will still do those things. Even if she is a nice girl and does that to everyone, she will still say yes.

Let’s not turn a first date into something it isn’t. It’s just a period of time where two people have decided to pair off and do something together. A period of time where two people have agreed to spend time together to get to know each other better. Freak out about the second date…not the first.
