Before I start on this excitement train, I am going to start by telling you that in January I decided to take a major shift and alter my lifestyle to break away from the heavily processed animal protein that saturates the market. I have started learning about nutrition and the benefits of plant-based proteins when you are experiencing CKD (Cronic Kidney Disease) and have started working with a group of young professional women in my area who are also focused on plant-based eating.
Many of you may be thinking now, vegetarian (plant-based) eating is boring or has no flavor. While I am still trying to educate myself on many of the ins and outs of plant-based eating, I have discovered that literally every meal I have eaten has been nothing short of delicious and not at all boring. Here are a few examples of meals made with only plants. I will be posting recipes and plant-based ideas here in the future to help you on your plant-based journeys.
To start, I purchased a few sets of 32 Oz Wide Mouth Mason Jars that can stores soups and salads safely for up to a week. The wonderful thing about these jars is that they will also keep your meat salads and soups safe for the same amount of time if sealed tight.
