So… while unemployed it’s been an interesting task to find ways to make ends meet. I have been dog sitting pretty much full time since the middle of October. Additionally, I have been driving for Uber Eats and taken on some writing contracts when I can. All of these jobs are at best part-time, however I found out today that the full time employees at my previous workplace are also not getting paid, but are still doing their full-time jobs. I think it is at times surprising the way the Lord looks out for you. Yes, the way it happened was not only extremely unprofessional and unexpected, but to have the freedom to look for work full-time and be able to take on other jobs while looking has given me a chance to see things in a different way.

In fact, losing my job has been an unconventional way to reconnect with what I need in my life. A few fur friends, a few real life friends and a reconnection to spiritual truth and the power of spending time in the scriptures daily. In fact, I have been asked to give a lesson in Relief Society (women’s class) on Sunday about how to Draw Closer to the Savior and it has reminded me of the great insight and power that even preparing to teach can bring to your life.
I have included a teaser here for my upcoming lesson. 🙂
