Not a Runner
Daily writing prompt
How often do you walk or run?

I am not a runner by any stretch of the imagination, but I do like to try to get out and walk EVERY SINGLE DAY, (if I can). Not everywhere I go now is as beautiful as hiking in the mountains of Utah, where I lived for 18 years, but I do get out and do it more often than I did in Utah.

Walking or spending time nature by being in the woods has always helped me feel at ease and release stress and anxiety. It has long been my safe place. As much as I miss those mountains, it is hard to argue the beauty of the plains, farms and cliff near where I currently spend my time.

How do you choose to soothe your stress and anxiety? Do you have any other methods, such as listening to music, painting or even writing. Writing and reading is another way I relieve my stress. It allows me to go to another world, where my problems are not front and center. It is a beautiful escape.
